It is about time. Also welcome.
You know, a quite a few people have said to be recently, "Chris, The Offspring are your favourite band, why doesn't xmeltrut.com have a fansite for them?"

Well today I have an answer, because we finally do! The design didn't turn out as well as I hoped but if you have any feedback about the site email me or post on the forums.

New album?
I posted about this on Maze Forums recently though then it was just rumour. The latest article on Ultimate Guitar also supports this idea though so it looks like they could have a new album late this year or next year! Check it out here.

Warped Tour
This being an Offspring fansite you can kind of guess who will be appearing this year ;). My Chemical Romance and The Transplants will also be playing.

I took a look at the lineup and other notable acts (well to be anyway lol) include Billy Talent and Millencolin. Anyway check it out here.

Generic moan time
You know the problem with finding news about The Offspring? You get so many medical articles and biography articles. Nothing actually related to the band!

Update on the Dexter on Song poll though (where Dexter writes about a song). The leaders so far are Crossroads and Lightning Rod. You can vote here.

Ok not that we actually do this every day or that we have ever done it before but it's always good to start a new traditon. Todays song of the day is Me & My Old Lady.

Warped Tour
I'm tired of searching for news stories and only getting scientic papers. Someone publish some more news about the Warped Tour already.

As for people heading to it (for obviously reasons) they have recently added Billy Idol to the lineup.

Dexter on song update
It looks like Lightning Rod is going to win it with around 35% of the votes. You can still vote for which song you want though, cast your votes here.

Punk-O-Rama Vol. 10
Ok check this out - track 12 is The Offspring ? Mission From God, unreleased track! The CD also has an unreleased Bad Religion track. The release date is June 7th.

It's coming in June apparently. It's from Columbia so that might be affecting it. Rumour has it also that there will be a DVD too. Anyway track listings (though they are not set yet):

A press release on Yahoo Business talking about free downloads or something has mentioned Nitro Records (which is Dexter Holland's record label). Check it out here.

Random band called A
Drowned in Sound have published a new profile of some random banned call A. All very nice but the important thing is that The Offspring get a mention, check it out here.

Can't Repeat
As we mentioned previously about the Greatest Hits album it will feature Can't Repeat which is a new song. The band have just announced they have finished it.

Song of the day
Continuing the idea that Ixnay is actually an awesome album (like Conspiracy awesome rather than Smash awesome, that said many prefer Smash), the song of the day is I Choose.
